The longer it's cut the drier it gets and evergreens are loaded with pitch, highly flammable, the draped in electrical wires with lights. The drier it is the faster and hotter it can burn and spread.
yeah I make sure to not leave it on while im not there. I only have it on while we're in the living room. even though it's an artificial tree I do get scared that it might catch on fire that's why I am careful with it. Thank you for letting me know though. @amorrione

It's not even thanksgiving yet. If you put of your tree now it'll be a fire hazard by Christmas.
