I have been going to church with my SO for a while now and the services are very upbeat and lively with lots of music. But yesterday when the music was happening some people started dancing in the front of the church like they were possessed and one lady was speaking in tongues. My bf just stood there like it was normal but I actually got really scared. I'm not used to that and never seen it before. I grew up in the Catholic Church so I'm used to everything being conservative and strict. Has anybody seen that before or go to a church like that? I wanna know why they do that...

Yea I wanted to cry bc it made me really fearful. I don't think it's for me either. I love that the music they play is modern but the whole dancing and yelling thing puts me out of my comfort zone @hiswifetheirmama

I go to a church like that and have all my life. I have been to many different types of churches and I'm always drawn to the one that is real with their praise & worship. It's something that is hard to understand but shouldn't make you fearful. Some people fake it and others are real. And some can take it too far for attention. It's hard for a new convert or new Christian to understand. Hard to explain. But don't base it off of movies and how they explain it. Lol takes away the true meaning. Hope u found a good church to plant yourself in and experience personal growth. :)
