I spent all morning in the hospital in "labor"but not real labor because my cervix wouldn't dilate!…

Get on your hands and knees and lower ur upper back so that your butt is up in the air and chest to the floor or bed if you're on one, rock your hips a little bit- it could encourage the baby to turn around

@bria, okay doing that now! Did you have the same problem? If so how did you know when baby got into position? I'm in so much pain I feel like i could push her out any second!!

Try not to push yet, my boyfriend's mom pushed way before she was ready and got her baby stuck in her birth canal before she was dilating and had to have an emergency c section!

Girl I suffered for five days before I got admitted because I wasn't 40 wks from the last due date they gave me smh. I was given 7/7 and 7/10 and had her on 7/9. I was at 3 cm for almost a week and they wouldn't keep me til I was 4, never saw 4 went from 3 to 6 when I was finally admitted. She was in the right position but initially they told me she wasn't because they "weren't doing an ultrasound til I was admitted" and told me because I was having back labor she was probably facing the wrong way. So for all those days I assumed she was the wrong way and kept doing that as much as I could. Majority of the time I was on the floor hysterically crying from the pain. I think the only way to really tell is by ultrasound but look up the spinning babies website i was recommended on here by my favorite baby guru @arivera64 😌👌🏻💯. I literally thought I was going to die or give birth in my bathroom lol

Rock back and forth on your hands and knees. That will encourage baby to get in the anterior position.

If you aren't familiar, it can be hard to tell. Usually it's best described as a hard lump at the top center of your belly. If you follow this lump downward with your fingers, the surface of your belly should be hard and smooth where the back is

@bria, that's exactly how I feel right now! I've never felt a pain this intense and it's not even the real thing. I've been feeling this since 3am until now and it's getting worse over time. I don't know what to do, my local hospital SUCKS and won't help me at all they just keep sending me home because my cervix won't dilate. And like I said I have to be scheduled for induction they can't just do it 😑 I know the baby is posterior because they did an ultrasound today. I may go out of town to a bigger and better hospital and see what they can do, but it's suck driving an hour away to be sent home from there too. At this point I don't care if my doctor delivers my daughter, if going out of town means I get induced today it will be worth it

If baby is still posterior, your belly will be a little more squishy in front rather than hard and smooth

@moorrggiee, hang in there girl. I know the pain is unbearable. Call ur ob see if they ok Tylenol pm. I did it once while laboring. It helped me sleep for like 4 hours honestly. I was getting no sleep because contractions. Sometimes u won't dilate if your body and brain are stressed, so as hard as it is, try and be calm through this. It's gonna be over soon. And you're gonna see your baby!!❤️

@arivera64, she definitely hasn't changed position my belly is still really squishy at the bottom and hard at the top! I give up on this child lol guess I'll just to wait until my induction

aww sorry mama sometimes they're just stubborn. all 3 of my babies were sunny side up

i would go back my sister was in labor for 3 days because her son was facing the wrong way she dilated to 10cm and the shrunk back to 3 eneded up having a c section
