Moms, how long did you and hubby wait to have intercourse or get intimate after baby?? I know midwife suggest 6 weeks, but did any of ya'll go against?

I did at 5 weeks because you usually bleed the first few weeks and I couldn't do that lol
Im 6 weeks pp and it was pretty uncomfortable for me. Its safer to wait to make sure you are healed and dont get an infection
I'll be 4 weeks post-partum on Tuesday and me and boyfriend have already had sex.... but we started at like 2.5 weeks after
I had a 6lb 4.5oz baby with a huge head haha. they had to cut me a lot. and I passed out from loosing to much blood. so i waited like 3 month. and i felt like i couldve waited longer. it was... uncomfortable haha
The 6 weeks is to make sure you don't get any infections from sex. I'd wait.

Around 5 weeks. Was waiting for the bleeding to stop. Didn't have any stitches with a 8lb 11oz baby. Plus hubby was leaving on the ship for a month. Felt like a virgin all over again 😂 start off slowly. We also used condoms cause we don't want anymore kids lol. Fertility is high during the 1st year after birth. Good luck
