so I have an ultrasound at 32wks because when I had my anatomy scan done (20wks) they said her kidney was just SLIGHTLY dilated... only about 1mm larger then the "normal" it was measuring at 5mm instead of 4.... has anyone else gone through this? my doctor said he's not worried at all because it usually corrects itself at that size or it could just be her "norm" but he wants to look at it when she's bigger just to be sure... ugh I just want to get this over with....they haven't even told me exactly what it means if it is slightly bigger then normal... does anyone have an idea or input on this? who's had the experience?

One of my friends had a daughter whose kidneys were both abnormally large at 20 weeks and then they did another ultrasound before birth and they were both perfectly normal.

Doctors have to take extra caution with anything they find even if it could be nothing. I've been dealing with it since my 13 week scan and my sons NT measurement was "larger than they like to see" so they wanted me to do all the chromosome testing and things of that matter and I had was going every two weeks. My son so far has come back perfectly fine with every test. Thank the lord. Better to be safe then sorry!
