One: if they are cutting your hours because you are pregnant, that's against the law. Two: did you go into the office and apply or do it online? Makes a big difference! Go into the office and do it and they will give you everything, and accept or deny you right then and there.

I got the card in the office same day and was told how much I would recieve for food stamps the day I applied. But I do know all states are different. My brother it took him several months in cali to hear anything. In GA it takes about two weeks to get your card by mail.

@babynessa, I'm in cali what I don't get is if I was denied for cash she told me that same day that I didn't qualify but for the food part she told me I have to wait for a letter in the mail? it's the first time me applying for any government assistance so I really didn't know what to do. None of it made sense to me

i applied and was approved the same day and got my card that day..even with my job i was still approved and got a good amount for food and cash aid

if i were u i would ask why there cuting ur hrs girl fuck that ...and keep calling the office and ask them but if there gonna send sum in the mail it wont take that long

@hernandez, I did and their excuses were they are cutting everyone's hours it just became funny to me that I went from working 48+ hours to working 24 hours right when I told them I was pregnant.

cash aid is different just by looking at your income they can already tell if your gonna qualify or not basically if your working you won't get cash aid food stamps you applied at the office but you wait till you get a letter in the mail telling you if your getting approved or not and how much you will be getting but you get the card first tho and that's in Mail as well if you just apply it can take to 30 days but you will get food stamps for the month you apply and the next month as well so if you apply in November you won't get it till December but you will get $$ for November as well

no problem you can also check your status over the phone but you have to know your case number, but it can take up to 30 days to fine out but most of the time it doesn't take that long more like 15 days

And what number do I call? I called a few and they all asked for my ebt card number not case number @meli2890
