I'm considering making bottles up in the morning and keeping them in the fridge until I need them. I was just wondering why health visitors don't advise this anymore? That's how everyone in my family was brought up, same with everyone else I know.

Because every year new health and hygiene regulations get updated. Health visitors advise making every bottle fresh but we know that it unrealistic!

I know, I've been making them fresh for 2 months and I really don't see the point? It's the same stuff going in but it's not very convenient if I'm out of the house etc. Plus boiling the kettle at least 6 times a day takes it's toll on the electricity bill! I'd understand if people were making say 3 days worth of bottles at once and storing them but if they're being used in less than 24 hours what's the problem? 🙄 @sara-lou

I make up 3/4 bottles at a time. I chuck them if not used within 12hrs. For example I make 2 bottles for over night but as Max sleeps through 98% of the time, they don't get used so I chuck them & make new ones in the morning. I'm out the house pretty much every day so there's no way I can make fresh bottles, it's just not do able for me. A prep machine would be wasted on me lol

That is what I've done with all three of my kids and they are perfectly healthy. It makes life that little bit easier doing it that way xx
