*seeking advice*

Took baby boy to the ped to get his ear infection checked out and it turns out he has it in both ears! He's fine if you keep him distracted but if not he's fussy and pulls his ear and he's fighting sleep. The ped prescribed him antibiotics but told me not to give them to him yet until he starts acting sick cause he wasn't acting sick at the ped.. I know my baby and I know he doesn't feel good, should I give him the medicine and go with my mommy instincts or wait it out and see if it gets worse like the ped wants me to do??
