JUDGE ME ALL YOU WANT!

You think I care that you're staring at me while my child is throwing himself all over the shop, screaming, snotting and sobbing uncontrollably? In actual fact, whilst dealing with said situation I'm feeling sorry for you for 1 of 3 reasons...

1. You've either got children who have grown up and flown the nest and you've all too quickly forgotten about these little situations

2. You're so stuck up your own ass you think you're above the world and better than anyone else

3. You're pregnant yourself and looking at me, feeling sorry and thinking "I'm so glad my child will never grow up to do things like that"

You're an idiot. An absolute mug.

If you genuinely think you're gonna be saved from those tantrums please do think again. Every child on this planet strops when they can't get their own way, adults still fucking do it. But when you grow up, (most of us) have a more dignified way of stropping, and with that I mean we don't arch our backs, chuck our heads back and scream so much we go bright red. How are children meant to express themselves otherwise? At the age where they're still learning to talk and communicate with us, they've got to let us know they're pissed off somehow!

I actually looked forward to Harrys first ever tantrum. And it just happened to take place at Colchester zoo. A very, very public place. We were at the Penguins and Harry was on his reins, he hadn't been walking all that long so he wanted to go where HE wanted to go, not the route we were taking evidently. He chucked himself right down, looked up to make sure I was watching, and crunched his head down on the concrete.

"That hurt didn't it?" I said

Turned to my mum and said,

"I've been waiting for him to do this!"

There were so many people staring, like not the quick glance and look away like you were never looking, properly gawping.

"Have you never seen a child have a paddy before?!" I couldn't help it. It slipped out before I even thought about what I said.

Then all of a sudden, they weren't ever looking were they? At least that's what they try to make out anyway! Idiots.

It just angers me, if a child is making a show of themselve... Stop. Fucking. Staring. You. Moron. I'm not just a cruel mother making him cry and I'm not ever just going to give him what he wants to shut him up. If he wants to vent his anger, then he's gotta do it somehow. Or he's gonna end up one very unhappy, stressed out child. He'll grow out of it once he can fully communicate with me and tell me what's up.

You always know another mother, child in tow or not, they kind of look at you with this sympathetic grin like,

"I was there yesterday love"
