Its basically an ultrasound of the heart. My son's first one took about 25 mins and the last one was 35 mins. They take different images of the heart to see if it's all ok & working as it should and nothing abnormal. They'll let you hold them, at least they let me & towards the end i breastfeed him which helped make it go faster since he won't take a paci.
