Looks link I'll b goin to bed alone yet again tonight. I swear I love my bf but when u literally do nothing but sleep and then wanna stay up half the night and sleep all day the next day it gets really old. I understand u work 3rd shift but how bout spending some time with me and our kids instead of sleeping all day and night on ur day off

I've worked third shift, it's hard. All I did was sleep too, and you're supposed to maintain that schedule on days off too. I sympathize with both of you, it's def straining on a relationship

I've done the 3rd shift thing myself, certainly was never allowed to forget I had kids at home that's for sure. I try not to fight or argue with him bout it but when he wakes up and I tell him to go to bed he just goes right back to sleep. It really wouldn't b so bad if he didn't sleep till like 3 or 4 every day and then b sleeping again before 8. It's putting a major strain on our relationship cause he never wants to do anything with us. I just hope it changes before the baby gets here @cdudley623

If he don't switch shifts soon I may have to look into that for him. I know it's his job which is y I try not to fight and argue with him I just wish he would spend some kind of time with me and our children on his days off. I even mentioned one night just the 2 of us goin to dinner together and that was blown off. We got gift cards for the movie last Christmas and still haven't used them. @mommy2hannah

Bummer. For almost ten years I worked 7pm to 7am. It was a tough shift and my sleep was always messed up. But I would pack my workdays together so I could have like four or five days off in a row and be normal. Regardless, I agree he should make time for your family and you❤️❤️. Maybe he can work more days in a row and have more off. On the day I switched my sleep cycle back I would wake up at like 1:30pm and stay awake till 8 or 9 that night and sleep for like 10 hours, then I was on a normal schedule again. Maybe this could help him?

I am guilty of that! I work 7pm-7am and before becoming pregnant I could just swing it and stay up when I didn't have to go back to work but this pregnancy has been kicking my butt and it takes me a full 24hr to recover from 1 shift lol. My shifts are also spaced out so I don't have to pay daycare because my 5 year old only goes to half day preschool.
