Any mom's planning on getting their Baby baptized? Is the process difficult?

I baptized my son. Every church is a little different but all I did was meet with a deacon with the godmother and we spoke for maybe an hour. Scheduled the baptism and that's it

Yes they ask for a donation (my church said $50) and then you usually give a tip to the priest or deacon. They'll also want you to bring in baby's birth certificate

I dunno what religion you're thinking about going for, but the policy for baptism just changed in the catholic church. You and the godparents have to attend a baptism class at the church, the rectory at the church should be able to give you more details on when their next baptism class is. It was a super easy class, just pretty much went over the basics of what to expect. Then you and the godparents sign some paperwork that says you attended the class and the church will help you schedule your baptism. The donation is optional, but I'd advise to give as much as you feel comfortable giving because the deacon or priest only gets paid in donations for performing the baptisms. My church didn't require my son's birth certificate, so it probably depends on which church you go to.

As for the grumpy family member, that's really up to you. I invited my grandma who was absolutely horrible to me while I was pregnant because she's family and I didn't want to start more drama. She didn't show up though, so that was nice...
