it was mentioned to me at the first appt then i miscarried, so i asked to have it done w second (current) pregnancy. i already knew my insurance is good but didn't cover it (called and got my benefits)...progenity has a peace of mind program to help lower the cost. i had it done in May i believe and still haven't had to pay...but I'm hoping I'll only have to pay about $100. the full amount they billed to insurance was $7500. 😲 so definitely find out if it's covered, etc!
lol...well u know they always bill insurance an insane amount bc they have allowable fees that lower the amount...I've already been freaked out that i haven't had to pay yet, but they said they were still waiting to hear from insurance (i already got the EOB that says they didn't cover it, but progenity hasn't received theirs)

mine was called progenity. it's general name is NIPT (non-invasive prenatal testing)

@nowmrspost, oh god! well my husband was saying "if got insurance doesn't cover it, I'll pay for it." wait till I tell him this.
