I think it's a subjective and very personal choice. I'm very lax and don't have a birth plan. I'm going to go with the flow and see how I feel. For others it helps them to have a birth plan and go naturally.. whatever you think would work best for you. I personally don't believe there's one right way for everyone:)
I didn't have a birth plan but my plan was to go all natural but it was just so hard I gave in and got it. I think it was the best decision i made it relaxed me but everyone is different
I wanted to go all natural but when your in labor you have no idea whats going to happen. I ended up getting an epidural because my daughter's heart rate dropped so to help her I had to get one. Just go with the flow is my advice because anything can happen and labor is unpredictable.

I figured I'd probably get one at around transition, but I was induced and ended up needing it much earlier. The nurses were actually encouraging me, because I was having trouble relaxing during my contractions they said my labor wasn't going to progress. My advice would be to just go with the flow, there is really no way to prepare for labor and each one is different.

I went epidural. The pitocin had NO effect on me even though I was contracting every two minutes, but once they broke my water that contraction pain came outta no where within five minutes for me. I try to hold out, but I couldn't and I just went on and asked for one.
With baby #1 I got the epidural, and it didn't work until baby started coming out. I felt every contraction and even felt when the amniotic sac started coming out before they popped it. (sorry if TMI). I'm not sure if i want to get it with this baby. When they put it in, it hurt so bad I jumped, and they had to stick me again.

I wanted the epidural, but I wasn't able to get it. Everything happened so fast, when my son was coming I had no time to get it. 😟😟
