If you mamas don't mind me asking, do any of you go to counseling to prevent or treat postpartum depression? I started counseling while I was pregnant and go once a week I could go twice a week if I needed to. It helps so much just to be able to vent to someone without being judged and them having something to say about what you're going through or throwing stuff in your face. If you can find someone to talk to please do, it helps to ease your mind knowing that after a weeks worth of events you can tell someone soon and let out instead of stuff building up and you eventually break down mentally, physically, emotionally, spiritually, whatever the case may be. Just wanted to share that. Stay strong mamas, our babies need us and they need us to be the best we can be to take care of them. 😊😊

I <3 therapy. I was going long before my son was born, but I seriously don't know how I would have made it through the trauma of preeclampsia and prematurity without her.

@rhiyaya, that's good! Therapy really does help, I love it and go every Thursday. I should have been going but it took one thing that just made me get really upset I then decided to go. I used to go when I was little for my disorder.

She'll be back in a few months, though about 30 minutes away. She's leaving me with a list of names just in case.

On the other hand I think it has given her some new appreciation for what I went through.

@rhiyaya, that's good and at least you have back up counselors if needed.
