My son is a year old and still co sleeps. It started because I tore completely and it was the only way I could care for my baby at night. No matter what you do as mother you will be judged by someone sadly. But I still bed share with my son because it works for us

I co-slept until my daughter was 7 weeks. After that I had her in her own bed in her own room. By the time she was 2 months I had her on a schedule and me and her daddy got our bed back. Which is amazing because now we get us time at night.

@babynessa, was it a struggle to get her in her own bed? He's very fussy, and even during the day is hard to get him to sleep more than 20 min on his own

Yeah it was but if your patient and determined you can do it. I started with naps during the day even if she would only lay in it for five mintues and start to scream. I'd let her cry for about 2 minutes then go in her room rock her and lay her back down until she was ok with naps in her crib. After that I then started to have her sleep in her crib at night a little. I would have her sleep with us and in the middle of the night transfer her. Did that until I was able to just lay her in her crib at bedtime and leave her there until morning. It's hard its tiring and it broke my heart but in the end it was so worth being able to lay in bed with my husband and cuddle and sleep without worrying about my husband smashing my daughter. @bmartinez

3 months and co sleeping strong. Even bought a bigger bed for it. I'm spoiled and have to have my little one next to mr always lol

I co sleep with my 2 month old and it works wonderfully for us. Some nights I need some time to myself and she does well in her bassinet for maybe half the night- on a good night. I know other moms disagree with co sleeping but if it works for you then go for it. Other countries have been doing it since forever, so I don't see a problem.

@early chie901, from what I've read it seems like we are one of the only countries that cosleeping is taboo, but it seems so instinctual to me.. like baby is supposed to be with mom. I just feel so mean making him sleep alone, when he just wants to be close to us. I feel like I'd rather deal with the crying when he is a little older and more aware

my daughter is five weeks and has been cosleeping since we brought her home from the hospital. I love having her close because it calms my anxiety about her not breathing and makes breastfeeding at night so much easier. plus she cries Everytime we try to have her sleep on her bassinet or swing so for now it's with us.
