Can a baby with a tongue tie accidentally suck hard enough to tear something? My son started screeching randomly yesterday while sucking furiously on my finger and I saw in his mouth a small amount of blood. It was under his tongue that I saw the blood, so that's what made me think it was his tongue tie. It was such a small amt and I only saw it for a split second. I handed him to his dad and tried to shine a flashlight into his mouth to figure out where the blood was coming from, but I never did see a cut anywhere or anything. He's only 2 mos so I highly doubt it's teething, and the poor little guy's frenulum comes right to the tip of his tongue!
