What did you ladies start weaning your babies on? Been told rusks mushed with their own milk is good
And I have been advised to start early weaning as my little boy downs 8/9 oz bottles of hungry baby milk @winterbaby95 x
@wonterbaby95, no but so isn't making up bottles then leaving them over night and using next day but 10 years ago they used to do that and that was the right thing to do. Not all "guidelines" are 1000% xx
@winterbaby95, yeah a lot of guidelines differ but I started mine at 14 weeks and he's loving it :) xx
@syrennajade give milk...wait one hour then offer food :) You can just give mashed banana on its own or add a bit of formula if you like :) earliest you can wean is 17 weeks hun...but they recommend you wait until 6 months xx
@winterbaby95, gosh that is a lot !! Banana mushed with milk? And do you offer a bottle after xx
I was told no rusks by my HV as they are high in sugar! 4.2 grams of sugar per rusk xxx
He's 3 month and I'm weaning him early because he's downing 8/9noz bottles of hungry baby and his mouths still going ten to dozen around food ect so been told if I want to wean him early could give it a try Hun @charliefreddiesmumma861 xx
Jars are fine I used them with Morgan often when we went out & about. But I think it's good to do your own food as well. Much more flavoursome & different textures for them to try. I think I'll be weaning Max earlier than I did Morgan but he's fine with just milk for now thankfully.
No worries I started weaning him at 3 months then he was poorly so stopped and then started again at 4 months, Heinz do baby porridge in a big tub for £2.49 @syrennajade xx
@syrennajade, you can use the baby jars the 4-6 months ones, I give my little boy baby banana porridge and a dinner xx
Im starting weaning him early before he can have solids so thinking of really smooth foods like baby rice rusks ect
@syrennajade Alright...if you have been advised then that's different:) I wasnt advised to wean early so waited until 6 months as I was told that's when their systems are mature enough...I was told early weaning can cause health problems xxx
