have any of you mom's had their child there with them when you were giving birth? I was going to have someone watch my daughter but I thought it would be better to have her there and I think it would be a great way for her to bond with her sister. she's 5 and very mature for her age and understands things better then most kids do. I'm not gonna have her watching while the baby comes out of course but I think it would be a great thing for her. she's really excited about it and my mom is gonna be there to help entertain her

I think it's a great idea to have your daughter there. I probably wouldn't have her watching though

My 2 year old was there until it came time for the hard stuff. because I was doing going for an unmedicated birth, I knew I'd need to concentrate. I had someone come pick him up around midnight and stay with him at our house. She dropped him off with us the next day at 11am.

my daughter who was 14 months at the time was in the room for the whole 3 hours of labor for my son and the delivery ☺

Check with your hospital. Mine won't allow childen under the age of 12 in the room at all during labor.
