My son is 1 as well! I'm thinking of doing snacks, a special ornament (a tradition in my family, child gets one every year), little toys, glow sticks, fake tattoos(my LO is fascinated by them), socks, stickers..

Last year I went to the dollar store and got a couple of toys, like cars and such. Then went on Amazon and bought a couple of board books.
