I'm glad your baby has appetite, but 3-4 oz for a 1 week old baby? They're stomachs are the size of a cherry, you could be stretching babies stomach out. They only need like 1 oz. Not trying to me a meanie, but that's a lot of food

@lena916, you have to discard formula after they already drank from the bottle. Don't keep it

@bri28, he was drinking 2oz at the hospital and they said it was fine. He has already been to the pediatrician as well. He just eats a lot. Lol. He does not spit up or anything. I don't force him to eat and if anything I hold back a bit so he won't eat too much and spit up.

1-2 oz for a newborn should be fine, but me - as a mother - would be concerned with the amount of 4-5 or 6oz. Just think about it, once baby starts drinking from the bottle, something will come out every time they suck. So naturally they will drink however much is in that bottle, if that makes sense. I'm not just saying that to say it, I'm speaking from personal experience.

@lena916, once the formula bottle is made, it can stay in the fridge for 24 hours, that's right. But if the baby already drank from it, leftovers need to be discarded. Once babies saliva mixes with the formula, it'll cause bacteria growth of left for several hours
