I'm 85% effaced. but not dilated how does that happen? I've always heard of people being 1cm dilated and 70% effaced or something. any suggestions on starting to dilate?

Contraction questions
I had a membrane sweep today. Before the sweep I was 3-4 dilated & 75% effaced.

What Does 50% Effaced Mean in Labor?
im 5cm dilated and 50% effaced..what does the 50% mean??.

Are there any effective ways & things I can do to help soften and dilate my cervix faster? At my appointment my doctor said I was MAYBE a fingertip dilated and 60% effaced.
