Has anyone had to deal with changing insurances shortly after giving birth? Baby girl is due dec 22 and I'm switching out of kaiser to my work stanford Jan 1. I'm praying it's an easy labor and she'll not have any complications so I can just set up her follow ups as soon as January hits. It's usually a couple days and then like a 2 week MD appt right?

@marisaeileen, thanks! Yeah I'll just have to deal with billing and make sure the right company gets billed for stuff. Some ladies said kaiser keeps the baby covered for 30 days no matter what so that should be good

I did. It takes some coordination between insurance companies, you, and your doctors. Often times you feel like the middle man. It's manageable albeit slightly annoying with a new baby. I survived though and it was smooth sailing after the transition month😊
