I had it done at 41 weeks. I personally have a very low pain tolerance and think even simple cervix checks are torture so for me it hurt a lot. I lost my plug a day and a half later but still ended up getting induced at 42 weeks 3 days. But for a lot of people that I've seen on here it sent them into labor 24-48 hours later. I just had a very stubborn baby haha

@emkasting, my son is very stubborn lol so I have no idea how it'll turn out, but it's worth the shot lol. my pain tolerance is pretty high, cervical checks are usually just mildly uncomfortable for me, although my last one was slightly painful

I say it's worth a shot. That's what made me end up getting it, it was worth the try to attempt to avoid induction. BUT induction wasn't the awful horror story that I'd heard from a lot of people even on here. It took forever but I had zero pain (literally didn't feel contractions at all) and even though it ended in a c section recovery was quick. Not saying you'll end up being induced I'm just saying don't freak yourself out over the possibility like I did.

@emkasting, thanks a lot! it does seem super scary sometimes because people have so many horror stories, I love getting reassurance incase I do have to be, and with how stubborn he is i have a feeling that will be the case lol, thanks momma!

I would do it. It didn't work for me but it did for my friend with both of her girls. It wasn't pleasant but it didn't hurt for long
