How do I get my almost 3 week old to not scream during bath time?
I took baths with mine for the first few weeks and now she loves them by herself. I just put her on my thighs & splashed her & let half of her body in the water. she got use to it this way.
my daughter doesn't like bath time but she does better when I put a wet warm dish towel over her. then I just lift it and wash as I go. hope that makes sense/helps
I figured out that she just cried because she don't like her hair messed with
You don't need to put her in any water until that rash is gone it probably burns just wipe her down & pat that area let it air dry... are you using anything on the rash?
Girl that baby is going to cry! My first son did until he was about 3 mos & this baby now does it but he's way louder than my first son 😩😩😩 I skip some nights on baths because he screams so bad lol but once he's wrapped in a towel he calms down until I take it off to clothe him
Try "swaddle baths" a lot of babies will cry if they are chilly. Wrap her in a swaddle blanket and then put her in the water. Then only unwrap one side at a time to soap and rinse. The wet blanket wrapped around her should keep her feeling warm and secure.
Some babies just don't like bath time at first. But over time they start too. Most!
I tried that and she didn't like that either. She has a rash too and she tends to smell if I don't use soap on her.
get in the tub with her and lay her on your lap. that's what I did with my son and he's 18 months old and loves bath time.
I don't have a baby bath either, so I have to lay a towel in the bottom of the tub and bathe her that way.
get 3 wash rags and put one over her stomach and one over her private part and use the other rag and go over her body with the like warm water. be sure to switch the two rags because they will eventually get cold. did that with my son and he is perfectly fine now
