So here's my situation, I moved into my dad's house when I was pregnant because my mom (who I'd moved back in with after I broke up with my fiancé) was acting like she's been taking drugs again. My entire pregnancy I had little to no issues with anyone in the house, even my stepmom who's always been psychotic. Anyway she's been acting crazy since shortly after I gave birth. She was wanting me to clean (which 99% of the time was all her mess) cook, and take care of 3 dogs all while I had a newborn and was struggling with breastfeeding. It's continued and for the most part she carries this tension like a dark cloud around her anytime she enters a room. Even if she's seemingly happy. I think she's borderline crazy because she has random moments where she just loses her shit over nothing. She's told my dad she walks on eggshells around me, which doesn't make any sense because I'm never here and if i am I'm upstairs in my own space taking care of my child, cleaning, or doing school work. I try to help out as much as I can with the house, but honestly, if you went to school 8 hours a day and had a baby that still constantly woke up at night, would your first thought be to drop everything YOU need to do to clean up everyone else's bullshit when you get home? And even when I do that, it's destroyed within 24 hours, so what in the world is the point? I'm so over her stressing me out talking shit about everyone else not doing anything when she works 5 days a week and spends the rest of her time doing whatever she pleases. I for one have no down time and am a full time mother and student, along with working part time and I am still exclusively breastfeeding. Am I wrong to not play Cinderella? I thought I paid my dues when I lived here as a teenager cleaning up after everyone.

I couldn't and wouldn't do that.. have you tried talking to your dad about it ? I mean I understand that's his wife.. but you are his daughter. My son is six months old.. I'm a stay at home and most days I have no energy.. I don't want to do anything but cuddle and play with him.. so I can only imagine how tired you have to be.

Man, I remember how hard it was with a newborn, then doing 8 hours of school on top of that and dealing with some crazy person asking you to clean all the time... that is a lot. Generally people are supposed to be sympathetic and help YOU out, not add to your stress. Sorry you gotta go through that, hope your dad listens to you.

She is so aggressive that she fights with my dad until he is on her side and she makes him feel terrible if he ever sided with us. It's been like that since the day they got together, her over us. And that's been 10 years ago. I just assumed being that I'm an adult now and they're adults, and the fact that I take care of all my own business besides them offering to pay my car insurance and phone bill that I wouldn't be treated as the hated step child. There's 5 children altogether, 2 are hers and have always had the first class treatment compared to us. She's literally just so immature for even acting in the way that she does. I don't trust her as far as I can throw her, and the problem is that my dad works out of town and is only in town fri- sun. So he's not here to make his own judgements and only goes off of hear say, which comes strictly from her. Because half the time my little brother and I are caught so off guard when a "problem" arises because she will be completely fine right before then. If anyone has to walk on eggshells it's me. @landonsmommy01

She sounds like honestly that she has a mental problem.. my step dad was the same exact way.. but he would always be paranoid and swore up and down we were always doing things we shouldn't have been.. when we weren't and my mom always took his side.. his kids always came first too.. it's so hard dealing with step parents especially when they are against you.. it never changed up until I moved out. I couldn't take it anymore.

That's what happened when I hit 18, I was done with it and finally had the choice to leave. But when i got pregnant things changed and my dad had been asking me to move back in before that, so I took advantage of a seemingly nice situation. I'm just so ready to be in a mindset where I can date so I can meet someone and move out on my own with them when the time is right. @landonsmommy01
