Ok so I'm due in 17 days and my mom just texts me to let me know my sister has mono, the dr said it's safe for her to be around the baby but she can't touch him... I still don't want her around him I don't feel like it's safe.. am I overreacting? My sister is devastated that I don't want her around the baby when he's born.

I wouldn't want them around either :/ I don't think you're overacting. I'd rather wait to be around when I can hold the baby anyways besides just looking. I know it has to be upsetting though.

I'm not sure how mono works, maybe she'll be in the clear when baby comes?

I had mono around the same age, I got it from sharing a drink with someone else that had it. it should clear within 2 to 4 weeks.

she might can wear a face mask so she can won't breathe on the baby.
