It hurts for a tiny bit like an iv getting placed in and feels weird and you'll feel a "zing" in your vagina then your bottom half will go numb. I absolutely hate needles but the pain you're in it is completely worth it. The guy had to try to get the right spot more than one time so it took about 30-45 minutes to get it right but he contractions I was going through were so much worse and I'd still do it all over again. It's honestly nothing to be scared or worried about :)

it wasn't bad getting it, i was going through a contraction while it was being placed. but it failed for me. i got it done twice and i still felt everything. i would go numb for maybe three hours then i could feel the pain again. it sucked :/
i just had one last night and the hospital im at is wonderful. took about 5 mins... they talked me thru it let me know what id be feeling and experiencing... i have a high pain tolerance so it didnt bother me much at all just felt strange. but my god was it 100% worth it.... i felt pressure after but nothing serious and pushed my son out within 30mins experiencing no pain at all. @taea98

It's not bad at all. It takes the pain away so it's all worth it lol

I had it the guy talked to me the whole time to distract me. It was a little pressure but after that it all went numb..

Worst part about it is sitting through a contraction because you cannot move whatsoever.
