Sudden swelling of your feet, hands/fingers, legs, face, arms. Dizziness. Vision changes. Headaches that don't go away. Off feelings. Sudden weight gain.

the doctor should test for it every time you go in. they normally test urine for protein. also blood pressure is normally a dead give away.

I've had dizziness, headaches. and vision changes. haven't noticed extra swelling, and don't know if I've gained any weight, but feel like I have.

@ssdj4, they don't take urine samples. I had protein in it my last pregnancy though.

have you brought these symptoms up to doc? they don't take urine samples? what @nicolelynn1992

I think the high blood pressure and protein in your urine are the main things though. I've known someone else who was never given the option to give urine samples and that's way weird. If your doctor doesn't do them I would go to urgent care or your local ER and be tested for it, especially if you had the issue in a prior pregnancy.

yeah, it's the only ob in my area, and she's not very professional. I have brought them up and she just kinda brushed it off.

I just felt off at 28 weeks, tested my blood pressure at a drug store and it was high so I went to my local ER and next thing I knew they had already diagnosed me with severe preeclampsia and transferred me to a bigger hospital with a nicu. My prior appointment went fine with no blood pressure issues. Can't remember if I had trace protein in my urine but I wasn't being highly monitored. I felt weird, went in, and I'm glad I did because my health was pretty bad.

Chances are they won't say anything til your blood pressure is 140/90 because that's the danger level.

I had no symptoms. Went in, had high blood pressure and protein in my urine, and they induced me.

Besides swelling everywhere!

And they say high blood pressure is 140/90 mine was 144/91

I gained 5 lbs in one week, my feet looked like swollen sausages and my bp was high and got induced ASAP

not to scare you but seek real help. your OB is ignoring a possible major issue...
