being induced is not a bad thing

The Ob's love inductions because it increases your chances of a c-section which = a larger paycheck

I have to be induced because I haven't started dilating, and my due date is tomorrow 😕 and I really don't want to be induced

@ashley07, read two comments below yours and you'll understand why it's bad to just do it without medical reasoning

I was induced with my first and she was born perfectly healthy and naturally I did not have a c-section it doesn't matter. rather your induced or not your still at risk of having a c-section and your baby could still have problems landing them in the nicu for a few days or more and you can always refuse to be induced if it's not "medically" necessary but going over 40 weeks puts your baby at risk of being still born so consider that as well

@ashley07, pretty sure I'm talking about women that are induced just bc not the ones that actually need it. obviously going a week over your due date is medically necessary. yeah you may be the lucky one that nothing happened bc it didn't say 100% it was in the 60% not to mention the medicine used for induction isn't very good for baby and it can cause a lot of complications. key words it can.

I used to think that too. I am so glad I cannot be induced due to having a c-section my first delivery. I wouldn't want to be induced anyway. I'd prefer a c-section over induction. What most women don't understand is that their due date is an estimate. it is roughly a 2 week estimate going either way. at 40 weeks they could only be 38. Let the baby comes when it is ready. your body knows what is best for it and the baby.
