You have to have a reason for needing it. They won't just give it to you. Ask the doctor to see if he will write a note. Does wic give you formula now?
@beebaby, I'm not on wic cause I was bread and I couldn't drink milk so I thought it would be pointless but now I am formula feeding and drinking milk like crazy
If you get a note from your doctor you can basically have any type of formula that WIC covers. But without a note or prescription then they will give you Gerber Good Start
My son is 6 months old tomorrow and this month we got 10 cans of formula and all the other milk bread and stuff. But starting next month it is just baby food and 7 cans of formula a month. Gerber Good Start because his doctor thinks it is working well for us.
They have other things other than milk, bread, cheese in some states, fruit and veggies, beans but I understand. Just get a note from you doc and they should. They helped me get my son's milk that was 50 a can from the pharmacy.

I have tried baby food I know it's early but he doesn't know how to use his tongue yet since he was breastfed so I give him a few Spoonsfull a few times a day just so he can get used to it even now on a bottle he is sucking like he is on the breast so milk gets everywhere😏 but I did hear Georgia only gives gerber, i just moved so I had to switch his Medicaid and it just went through this week so now I have to find him a doctor then I'm gonna get wic
Well they only give Gerber here too but if you get with your doctor about it then they can basically prescribe a different formula. Then you go to the WIC office and they can get what your baby needs. After your baby is 6 months they do less formula than before and also baby food.
Also I don't think it's too early! It's really okay whenever your baby is ready. I would give him baby oatmeal like every other day until he got used to it. We started baby food last week and now he is already eating one for lunch and one for dinner. He loves it. But still drinks lots of bottles
@babymay2016, I'm hoping to get him on food at 6 months if he is ready that's why I'm trying a little at a time. Good thing baby food doesn't expire fast lol
