how much should a 1 month eat?

2.5 ounces per pound. So depends on how much he weighs, my baby is 10 pounds so I give him 22 ounces a day (24 hour period)

My baby is 8 pounds but he eats 5oz

for breastfed babies @bentleysmomma is right. With formula, I am not too sure, but we tend to overfeed. it is natural. I would ask your pediatrician. Babies 1 mo to 6 mo eat about 25 oz a day. the amount doesn't increase. they just eat less often and larger amount.
