after they break your water is when things get real and really painful but it's better to hold on for the epidural until after they break it. it's even better to hold on a little longer after that if you can but it's not very easy

my water broke at home and I couldn't even feel my contractions so it's probably different for everyone..

My water broke with my first and did not feel really painful contractions till I started the pitocin and I'm also planning to only do IV pain meds like I did with my first. No epidural for me ladies. @michelle2220 @rachayrn

For sure different then everyone!!! I waited to get the epidural (if your even getting that) until I couldn't handle my contractions which was 2 hours after they started a fast drip, and I got it before my water broke and it was worth it! I got sleep 3 hours later they came and broke my water then an hour later he was here (: it's different from everyone don't listen to anyone do what you think is best for you (:

yeah I didn't feel the strong ones till they broke my water bc the pitocin was already in at 3cm and at 5cm they broke it and those contractions were death. I do not want pitocin or any form of pain meds this time bc I had a horrible recovery. but I'm scared bc I already have chronic pain.
