Are you allowed to take baths after a vaginal delivery? I tore & had to get stitches, so I just assumed I had to wait until the doctor gave me the ok at 6 weeks, but I've heard other wise! I'd absolutely love to take a bath right now! And since LOs umbilical cord fell off a few days ago I could co bath with him ☺️

@mommyofacountryboy, See, that's what I assumed too! But this one lady took a bath with her LO 2 weeks PP & she said the doctor encouraged it because the warm water can help soothe the tear, just as long as the tub is clean

My nurse said the only reason I was allowed to take a bath after delivery was because I didn't tear.
