Switching from breast milk to formula --
Momma's who have had to do this, how did your baby take it? Is there a certain kind you like best? How was it for you? Do you still get engorged? Do you pump when you are?
I'm kind of at a loss here, I haven't discussed any of this with his doctor yet, he doesn't have an appointment until the 4th but I'm really afraid he's not getting enough from me..
I'm really upset about this transition, so please be kind in your comments.

My son transitioned to formula very well actually and he seemed much more satisfied. I use the earths best sensitive organic formula and he seems to love it. Good luck!

I supplement with formula bc I don't make enough either. I use Gerber good start soothe firmula. My son had no issues and sometimes I even mix my breast milk and formula together and he can't tell the difference.

I mixed the bottle at first like half breastmilk and half formula then slowly more formula. but my daughter did well with the transition. I recommend Similac sensitive

I used to do half breast milk, half formula, then eventually gave him all formula. We use Enfamil Gentle ease. Once I wasn't breast feeding anymore, I stopped pumping and would just hand express whatever was left in the shower and wore tight sport bras to dry up completely.

Idk if this is something your interested in, but you can get donor breastmilk, I'm a donor 😌 whatever you do and however you do it will be perfect for baby ❤️

Don't do half formula half breast milk it can harm your baby's kidneys slowly introduce it maybe an oz after every time baby nurses but don't next them together

Thank you all for your advice!! I'm going to try different ways to try to boost up my supply and see how that goes, I have formula just in case.. I really hate to stop but having him fed and happy is more important! @dylansmom @aleynbluuekeeper @adrianliam @mdomke22 @orionsmomma @lovingmatheo

I've heard donor milk is expensive, how much does it run for where you're at? @kparis

If your baby has six pee diapers a day and at least one to two poop diapers then he's getting enough breastmilk. I would definitely try uping your milk supply before trying to switch to formula because your body knows how much to make after the first few weeks of breastfeeding. Eating enough good foods is important when breastfeeding as well, if you don't eat enough, it can hurt your supply. But if you really wanna switch it's pretty easy for some babies. I had to switch my daughter after a medical problem and it made me very sad but feeding your baby whatever you can is the most important thing.

He has a decent amount of diapers a day but lately when I pump I've been only getting about 2-3 ounces and when I breast feed him, I'm having to feed him about ever 1-2 hours because he's not getting enough at one time. I think eating enough is definitely one of my problems.. but it's hard to eat a lot when I'm working. I think I'm just going to do half abs half, that way I feel like he's satisfied and I still feel like I'm breast feeding. I'm really trying to do the best I can.. @isabellesmomma212

Eating so frequently might be due to a growth spurt. I always hated pumping because I could never get more then 3ozs either. If you wanna give him a bit of formula to make sure he's full, shouldn't mess up your milk supply to much. I had problems eat in the beginning too but after a week, I couldn't stop eating. lol But you do what you think works best for you and your baby. We all are trying are best. ❤
