my water broke while I was peeing at 2am, 10 mins after getting home just after leaving labor and delivery lol.

mine broke as soon as I stood up to go to the bathroom and 2 hours later he came out omg was it scary because Hospital was 45 minutes away and he was crowning when I got there this mama was freaking out especially being a ftm

you will know! it has a different feel. I had an audible pop before mine broke but even without a noise you will know.... trust me you leak and leak uncontrollable.
