What does it mean when a baby has a lip tie? I'm trying to figure out if that's why breastfeeding…

It means the little thing under there tongue is little that's why I couldn't breastfeed my daughter she didn't want to latch on right and it was so painful.

That's a tongue tie @mamacole a lip tie is when their lip is basically attached to their gum on the inside

The little line thing in the middle that connects the lip and gums goes all the way down the end of his gums. Does he have it? Idk @tlw1596

That's what I was told @adrianliam @tlw1596 my dr told me if they wanted me to have them to cut it to relieve pain but I was scared and never got it done for her

I think that is a lip tie @adrianliam it harms his suction and latch. That would be terrifying I think @mamacole did they ever mention any difficulties it could cause later in life if it wasn't cut?

Yes they said she would have trouble saying words and wouldn't be loud like other kids if not cut... But boy they lied my baby is so smart to be 3 and is super loud. @tlw1596

Not once has she had trouble saying words. For her to be 3 she knows some pretty big words I can't even say right @tlw1596 @adrianliam
