Here she is!! After 24hrs of my water breaking and labour not progressing with contractions all over the place, I was told regardless I was going to receive oxytocin to get things moving. Well let me tell you it got things moving alright!!! Contractions were long and hard and the back labour along with front labour was insane! 7 and a half hours after the oxytocin kicked in we welcomed Esmée Rose into the world at 7lb4oz 22" long, sunny side up! My total hours labouring was 37hrs start to finish, I managed to get through with no pain meds aside from a bottle of laughing gas as I hit 7+cm. even though I was disappointed in the process of needing oxytocin I am beyond amazed with myself that for my first baby and the situation I was able to deliver for the most part naturally! It wasn't easy but it was totally worth it!
