you need to make one sooner. at least 10 weeks.

you definently need to make one at 10 weeks. so they can make sure baby is in the right spot, that you and the baby are in good health.

some people dont find out they are pregnant until they are past 10 weeks i know it sounds silly i just hate going to Doctors appointment 😩

not trying to be rude but I think that's a little irresponsible. The best thing to do would be getting in at 9 weeks that's what doctors recommend.

my 1st appt was 7 weeks and i seen the baby and heard the heartbeat it was amazing! the baby looked like a small peanut 😘

@reyesmomma, well i respect your opinion i dont think it is at i mean at the end of the day this isnt my first pregnancy and im not saying i wont go to the doctors but with my daughter i went in at 6 weeks pregnant all they did was a urine test to confirm and they didnt even bring me back until i was 16 weeks pregnant

@aaquino that's interesting at 9 weeks I got my first ultrasound and actually saw my baby moving for the first time. I think it's just best to go in at that time because one doctors recommend it and to you never know if you could have like an optic pregnancy or something.

I had my first ultrasound at 6 weeks 6 days

They did a papsmear and blood work and std testing

@reyesmomma, i didnt get my frist ultrasound until 16 weeks i mean i did have an awful experience with that office and i wont be going back to them this time around but i guess i was just under the impression thats how this was going to go aswell i appreciate the information

When I called most offices scheduled 8 or 9 weeks for first appt. that's pretty standard I think

I would make one sooner just because you don't know how long it'll be before you can get seen. And ik there's a test your suppose to have done by weeks 16 to tell if the baby has Down syndrome

@aaquino well I'm sorry to hear that that really sucks. it's true that every doctor practices differently and I guess some just genuinely care more than others. I hope this time you have a much more positive experience. and I hope you get an ultrasound sooner than that. To mr that's a little ridiculous they did that to you. I had at least two ultrasounds by then and 3 by the time I was 20 weeks. I hope you can find a doctor that you'll be happy with.

@mrs.n2014, @shellbell0391 @belly1996 okay thank you ladies inwill do so apparently i just had a shit doctors office the first time cause all they did was the blood test and urine test at 6 weeks and then it took forever for me to actually see the baby and get an ultrasound thanks so much i will call this week to set something up i would hate for something to be wrong honestly

Yah they don't do anything at the first few appt. but you still wana get them over with. I hope you have a better experience with this doctor. @aaquino

I made an appt to take a test. Then that same day since it came back positive they did a Pap smear asked a bunch of questions and they did an transvaginal ultrasound and I was only I like 5 or 6 weeks along.

@aaquino well I wish you the best of luck. And don't settle for less when it comes to a doctor. I switched mine in the beginning because she came across as very judgemental and jumpy. your guyses health and comfortability and happiness is what's important.

@lizyetter_1991, thats so crazy to me hearing all of these makes me feel like that office should be reported they handled my pregnancy so poorly! and being a ftm i had no idea what to expect so i just went along with it even my labor was soo bad i went through midwives and the hospitals obgyn had to intervene during my labor and take iver because the midwives were going to kill my daughter i know that sounds dramatic but theybwere ignoring the fact that i was in labor for 5 days and my daughter heart rate was dropping everytime i contracted

@aaquino, yeah my insurance was acting crazy and I only got one ultrasound my entire pregnancy at 20w for anatomy scan

I called at like 6 weeks I think and then they didn't see me until I was 10 weeks pregnant

but I ended up with Midwives and had a great birth experience even though i was in labor 26 hrs.

@aaquino, yeah I'm sorry u had a bad experience. the only thing I would do different is instead of seeing a different midwife every visit I would stick with the same 2. its only 2 of them I really liked out of all the midwives I saw during my 40 weeks.
