Did any of u ladies that breastfeed only just never pump or give bottle like the entire first year?

I did and now he is 18 months and trying to wean and refuses a cup..lol

@momof3cuties, I was thinking I might skip the bottle stage all together. I'm scared to start pumping bc I have heard once I start I have to continue and it honestly seems like more work baby is only 6 weeks and I have had 2 nights my boobs were rock hard and I wanted to pump but didn't. I plan to get pregnant again before 18 months and my dr told me this week at my 6 week check up that some babys wean naturally when u become preg I figure we will try around him being 10-12 months bc I planed to breastfeed one year guess I will just see how it goes. I see u have 3 did u never pump with any of them?

I used the bottle the first 3w because I supplemented but after that it was strictly breast couldn't have switched back if it wanted..breastfed two years..

Many woman don't do bottle at all..doesn't really matter it's what's best for you..I recommend just breast it's easier and no risk of loosing your supply

jj is 15 months and only had a bottle for less than the first 4 months and I barely pumped because I was always with him he still breastfeeds to go to sleep

my doctor told me that around 18 months they start losing interest

I breast fed my son for 18 months. no bottle. straight to sippy cup. and boy was it tiring. my bf had to take him to my job during my break so I could nurse him lol it took me 3 days to wean him. pretty hard too bc he didn't have a bottle to rely on.. with my daughter I was told to wait a month or two to build up my milk supply and give her a bottle if I wanted . I have her dad and my son feed her that way she doesn't get confused. and so far she hasn't bc she won't take it from me. my boobs get really full when she sleeps more than 3 hours so I just pump. I nurse her all the time if we're home. but when we're out it gets pretty hectic and I rather bottle feed her. I like being fully uncovered when I nurse her and I'm not comfortable doing that in public so a bottle is very helpful

He is the first one I am able to nurse. I never got milk for the other 2. He is my last and I'm praying he will wean himself very soon

@lucyyxoxo_, u mean u were told to wait a month or 2 after she was born before u introduced a bottle? That's what I was told not to pump for the first month he is 6weeks and there was couple nights he slept almost 4 hr my boobs were rock hard I didn't give in and pump but if it happens again and as he sleeps longer I worry they will become engorged and then I don't know what to do bc if I start pump then won't I have to keep it up. I don't plan to return to wk after my leave and it's going to be winter soon I plan to be home 24/7 he will never have a babysitter and my husband works crazy schedule nights and OT days so even if I did introduce a bottle I would never wake my husband to have him feed bc he is working so hard and needs his rest.
