I also looked it up, but was confused.
I'm 28 weeks pregnant & last week my midwife checked my cervix. She said I was soft,not much & that it was okay. She made me have my 1st contraction (owie!!) &a for the past few days the inside of my vagina has sharp pains randomly. As the days go by it's less random, but would could that be? The internet said dialating, but I'm only 7 months along. Comments? Thoughts?

Lightening crotch. it's very common and not something to worry about. basically baby hitting a nerve

Def thinking lightening crotch it really sux! :( gets worse as baby gets bigger too

@dez3185, I think she checked it bc I told her I had sharp lower abdominal pains that weren't painful. Idk exactly why she did...
