Right ladies two things. Firstly my feet and ankles have swollen right up after section, I'm 4 days pp, how long will they take to go down? I'm wearing the stockings like I'm supposed to as well. Secondly, I haven't been for a number two since the day before section last Saturday, I'm in codeine for pain so I'm thinking obviously I'm just a bit bunged up, guna get some senna tomoz any other suggestions? Dreading going lol! Will hurt my tummy, am still in a lot of pain with it. Oh and one last thing...I'm bottle feeding so was hoping my breasts wouldn't get sore and engorged, and surprisingly nothing has really happened, they just feel a bit fuller and heavier, anyone else had this?

Your feet & ankles is probably just water retention. Mine did that after birth and it took them nearly 2 weeks to go down. As for a number two, orange juice or prunes(!) and just let nature take its course. Don't strain when you do feel the urge to go. I remember my first one after birth, I sat on the loo for about 45 mins!!!

Mine took a week or so to go down :) stopped wearing the socks as I found that it only made the swelling worse :) I kept my feet up and walked around:) I got really constipated as I was on Iron tablets :) I used Movicol! Amazing stuff! Vile but works!!.Xx

@charliefreddiesmumma861, no they didn't I had to ask for them to prescribe dihydrocodeine as I was in agony, I'll buy some senna today cheers. What's lactoluse? Thanks Hun x
Lauren 🔥·
Hmm my hospital gave regular pain relief along with lactoluse and Senna tablets, basically it's the same as Senna tablets but it makes you go. As your body will be so bound up it's a struggle to go xx @hawkie75

I couldn't poop for 3 days after I asked the midwife to give me something to help me go as I was in a lot of pain. My boobs felt huge and sore about day 4 they told to put something warm on them or massage them to make sure the milk ducts don't get clogged. Or I just stood under the shower let the water run down them. Hope your feeling better and not too sore xx
