Copied from my page; "On August 1st, I got a call for my preeclampsia results. They wanted me to come in! So obviously something was wrong. The dr said I had mild preeclampsia, and they're going to induce me that night. He sent me home to get ready and come back, at 6:30 that day we went back and around 8 they inserted a gel that thins and helps my cervix get ready for labor. I contracted ALL night, 1-3 minutes apart! Then in the morning, August 2nd, they checked me and I was a 2 and a half. They decided to do another gel hoping that would really get things going before they started pitocin. They inserted it at I wanna say 8, which made my contractions 10x worse then the night before! I could barley handle them! They checked me around 11 and I was a 3 and a half. So they started pitocin around 12, and I was a 4. I decided to get the epidural while I was getting the pitocin because I knew it was going to make my contractions even worse and I couldn't handle that. The epidural honestly didn't hurt! It was just weird and uncomfortable. They were going to break my water at 2 pm but I felt it trickle around 1:30 by itself, so they decided to wait a little while hoping after my water broke that I would dilate more. Around 4, they checked me and I was still a 4 and she felt my water bag still kinda intact, I guess it was just leaking, it didn't break completely. So she broke it with her fingers and instantly I went to a 4 and a half. Then they decided once again to see if that would help me dilate, they checked again around 5 something and I was a 5. Then around 6 something, she checked me again and laughed and said "you're ready to have a baby"

I went from a 4 to 10 in 2 hours! She let baby slowly come down on his own before I started pushing, and around 7:10 I started pushing, but couldn't feel anything at all (thank god for that epidural) the dr said she knew I would tear so she was going to give me an episiotomy so it would go faster. I could feel his head coming out with my hand, it was so freaky! Almost an hour of pushing and he came out at 8:02

I didn't even push him out, my last few contractions did that for me since he was so close! His cord was around his neck and he was grunting instead of crying so they had to give him an oxygen mask, and if it continued he'd go to NICU but he started crying and breathing fine 3 minutes later! I bawled like a baby hearing him cry! We did skin on skin for two hours. A couple hours ago the epidural wore off and now I can feel everything, the stitches, tear, my stomach feels weird from being all empty and working so hard. But it was all worth it to have this little man in my arms 💓💓 induction isn't as bad as they say it is. I'm honestly so blessed to have had such an easy and smooth labor and delivery 😇"

Oh your lucky!!! I was induced with both my babies. My son's induction was smooth sailing but my daughter's OMG it was such a rough labor. I'll share them both in just a second! @bentleysmomma

On May 25th I was a week overdue. the ultrasound tech said there was bowel movement (she was wrong there wasn't a bowel movement) so she got in contact with the doctor and he said "send her to the hospital to get induced." I was terrified! I was already 6 cm dilated when they broke my water. I was having contractions the night before they just felt like pressure. 17 hours later Joshua was born. ☺

Leon 10/11/11 💙 My due date was 10/10/11 but my stubborn little prince refused to come so I was I was scheduled for induction at 40 weeks 1 day. I went in at 5 they broke my water at 7. I had manageable contractions up until around 12 or 1 so I asked for medication to take the edge off. I was given stadol which made me loopy and sleepy. It helped for a while but wore off so I asked for more.... it didn't work the second time. I cried and fought to breathe through contractions til around 5 or 6 p.m. I then asked for the epidural. I couldn't bare the pain anymore, once I got it they sat me straight up in the bed and made me place the bottoms of my feet together. I was at a 5 then, I hated sitting that way but I immediately began to feel my baby drop and feel LOTS of pressure. It asked my aunt to go tell the nurse I felt pressure and she checked me and said it was time to push. Everyone left the room except Leon and my mom. I had practice pushing with the nurses while waiting on my OB to get to my room. Once she got there I began pushing and moving my son on down. Then all of a sudden I heard a splash my bf say OMG! They have filled me back up with water bc they broke mine wary and I guess my baby was dry in there. Well during pushing it shot her in her face and went under her shield and in her mouth. She was chewing gum. She spit it out and said "it happens" and kept going. I pushed for a total of about 10 minutes and my epidural wore off on one side. After 10 minutes my baby boy was out. I did have to get stitches and I felt her sewing me up! But I didn't care because my son was finally here weighing 6 lbs 10 oz!!! Marleigh 💗10/14/16 I went in for my weekly check up on my son's birthday. I had already had two false alarms where I would have contractions 2-3 minutes apart for over an hour and then get to the hospital and Marleigh would just stop trying to come. I was absolutely miserable. I could barely walk.... The week prior I was 2 centimeters and I was the same at this appointment and 80% effaced. My OB told me it could still be another week or so before I gave birth. I told him no I'm miserable and let's talk induction. I asked when could I be induced and he said they start at 39 weeks. Then he asked when I would be 39 weeks and I told him Friday 10/14/16. He asked would I like to be induced then and I said yes. He walked out to ask the Dr that would be on call if he would deliver me and he said yes and to be at the hospital at 5:30 a.m. I was so happy I sang all the way home. Friday morning came quick Leon and I woke up at 4:30 in order to get there on time. We got to the hospital around 5:15 AM only to find out there were no rooms in labor and delivery. So we had to wait until the room became available. We didn't get into room until after 7 AM in the doctors came in shortly to hook up my IV and antibiotics for group B strep they also hooked up Pitocin. I swear that medicine is from the pits of hell!!! I had contractions that were manageable. But once they begin to hurt I asked for something to take the edge off and they gave me stadol. It helped a lot and made me sleepy. I even dozed off for a while. They broke my water around 130 or two and I instantly began to feel the difference in the contractions. They came stronger and closer together. I asked for medicine and I was given more stadol which made me sleepy again but it wasn't long before I asked for the epidural. The nurse told me that the anesthesiologist was doing an epidural for someone getting a C-section and it would be 30 minutes before she could get to my room. I cried and cried and the nurse that I had to eventually went out to find the anesthesiologist and brought her to my room. She began doing the epidural and my boyfriend with my support system while getting it because I'm terrified of needles. My contractions were so bad that I couldn't comprehend what she was telling me to do is for leaning forward and pushing my back out so that she could find the epidurals spot. She ended up placing the epidural line in between two blood vessels. I could feel her pulling it out and I asked her if that was what she was doing and she said yes she had to do it again. I started to cry because I was in pain from the contractions and I felt when she stuck me with the needle in my back. I didn't feel it with Little Leon at all. She placed it a second time correctly and gave me a double dose of the medicine. This was around five or six and I was at a 4 or 4 1/2. I had been praying for a quick labor by Marleigh was definitely dragging it out. I was still loopy but I was talking in between naps. I began to feel pressure and I told Leon but he was so tired of waiting he didn't believe me and wouldn't get the nurse. It was so unbearable I wanted to cry. I sent my cousin to get the nurse and she checked me and said it was time to push. They began prepping me and doing practice pushes only for me to find out my OB went home and it would take him 10 minutes to get back. I was so mad the pressure was out of this world and I wanted baby girl out!!! He finally got there and I began to push only to realize that my epidural wore off and I could feel EVERYTHING especially Marleigh's shoulders. I cried and begged him to get her out! It was such a relief once she came out that I cried. She came out screaming and as soon as they put her on my chest she stopped. I'd never been so tired and weak in all my life. I had a terrible case of the shakes from the epidural, it was so bad my family literally had to hold my limbs to stop me from shaking. I'd do it all over again for my baby girl though. She was estimated to weigh 7 1/2 lbs. She came into the world weighing 6 lbs 11 oz and healthy as can be!
