So I was doing some reading about due dates:) doctors always add 2 weeks from when you conceived:) So when you are 4 weeks..you are actually only 2 weeks :) That means on your due date...you are 38 weeks! So no wonder most babies are born after their due date...Xxx

@mrsmowmow Yeah hun, xxx
@natroberts88 Yeah I got a positive 3 days before my period was due (which I worked out since I had irregular cycles) xx
@natroberts88 I didnt need a scan to tell me how far along I was...I new by working it from my cycle length, and when I had sex...to when I could've ovulated etc...my pregnancy wasnt planned...at my first scan I worked out I would be 11 weeks 1 day...but my midwife insisted I would be further along.....and when I got to the scan...I was correct xxx
Well no, there are tests that can tell if you're pregnant before you've even late..
@natroberts88 Because there's a 2 week wait to test for pregnancy am I correct? xx
@natroberts88 Well anyway...I did look to see what it said online...and that's what it says...(the 2 weeks would be before you conceived) so either way...we are both right 😊 xx
That's a pregnancy test not the doctor...that's why doctors ask when your last period was to calculate it based on a 28 day cycle. The scans would then give you a true date @winterbaby95
@natroberts88 Well on the clear blue...it says to add 2 weeks on. @elliesedanniel From what I've read online it says the same thing. I conceived on a 38 day cycle...not everyone had 28 day ones xx
@natroberts88 is right! They only go by your last period. Doctors won't add weeks on.
Doctors actually base it on your last period - they don't add weeks on. You tell them when he end of your last period was & they calculate from that. It's not accurate because you could have conceived anywhere in the 28 day cycle which is why they let woman go 14 days over...
