I had my son at 37 weeks due to preeclampsia. I'm wanting to breastfeed but my milk doesn't appear to have come down yet. I have been feeding him with the Medela starter supplement to try to stimulate my milk as well as bottle & just last night I started pumping. I only seemed to get just under an ounce of a colostrum/milk mixture. I had him on the 14th today is now the 20th. Have I waited too late to start pumping? Is there anything else I can do to encourage my milk to come down?

Constantly put that baby to the breast. Stay hydrated. While your pumping play the sound of a baby cry/look and think about your baby.

Yes, constantly out baby on the breast. I had my daughter at 38 weeks and my milk came in when she was 2 days old because in the hospital I constantly had her on my breast.
