If I ever have a boy I am not getting him circumcised. I feel like it's pretty much a cosmetic procedure. I fiancé also said if we have a boy he doesn't want him circumcised

It's purely cosmetic and although some studies show it can help keep infections gone it's not 100% because even a circumcised penis can be dirty or get infections. It's like getting a boob job. It looks pretty and pleasing to the eye but it is in no way medically necessary.

@theinkedmommy, I just hate it when they say my sons penis is ugly and dirty because he is uncircumcised. I have two now lol little mister #2 is due in Jan so I'm sticking for my boys.

if so if circumcised then baby deserves to be as well. I know a 19yr old who is not and crys everyday to be. I don't agree with it being cosmetic at all don't put baby at risk. You still can get infections with it done but that being sexual infections. The 19yr I know is still a Virginia. So personally I don't even wanna chance it my son will be circumcised

@guaderrama_babies2, To each their own. There's no perfect way to parent. No one should be bashed for either decision is the way I see it. We're all going to do what's WE feel is best for our kids.

@destinees, not really I have met men who get infection on their penis and are uncircumcised. I am NOT putting my sons at risk at all. They're dad isn't so neither are they. Every pens circumcised or not can get the same infections.

@theinkedmommy, and I totally agree with that. if you choose to do it I won't bash you or say anything that's their decision but when it comes to my boys and people saying I'm wrong because fit then I'm going to stick up for them and myself.

@theinkedmommy, most people are closed mined that's why. no decision is wrong in my eyes as long as you feel it's right and there is no harm to the child.

My son is circumcised because I'm a lab tech who has personally had to plate an infected foreskin in the lab and watch bacteria grow on an agar plate from it. I see both sides of the topic though, but my brother had cancer down there and had to get his removed. That plus the infected foreskin I plated in the lab ultimately swayed me towards circumcising my son
