Getting it put in hurt SO BAD, and I got a yeast infection not too long after I got it put in. When I went two weeks later to get it checked, I was too sore for them to physically look at it.., so I had to have an ultrasound done to make sure it was in the right place. They made me wait till I was on my period to get it put in (because I have a tight cervix). After my period was over, I bled for about two months straight. I was way too sore to do anything sexually, so I've had sex two times since Henry was born... He's almost ten months old. I'm still sore now, but I think that's from the yeast infection. I'm working on that.

I have mirena. I don't know if it somehow caused the yeast infection or not, but it is very convenient to not have to worry about using protection. After the bleeding for two straight months stopped, I haven't had another period. That is also very nice!
i have the Mirena. I have it for 2 weeks and i love it! no symptoms and it stopped my period when i got it put in (you have to be on your period to get it inserted) its so uncomfortable and it hurts like a BITCH! But i love it so far :)
the marina didn't hurt getting out. it kinda hurt being put in but it was like 3 minutes then it was over. I did swear tho lol. I had mine for 5 years. not one infection not one period. I would do it again but my husband got fixed.
