What age do babies normally start teething? Harrison's only 6 weeks and he's been screaming and really restless all evening. He's not hungry as feeding him hasn't helped, I've winded him, offered him his dummy and changed his nappy whenever its wet. The only thing that got him to stop crying for a little while was wrapping him in a blanket and taking him outside. I took his temperature and it came back around 36 degrees but I'm not sure how accurate as it's a cheap thermometer. Has anyone got any suggestions or signs to look out for? The health visitor comes on Friday but I hate seeing my little one unsettled 😢

36 is normal :) anything above 37.5 is a temperature hun :) xx Hmmm sometimes babies have restless stages...Could be that he wanted a change of scenery...was feeling cold? Xx

But my sister was teething at 6 weeks...so its possible xx

No age limit on teething babe, my little babe started teething at 5 weeks yet didn't get a tooth cut til he was 9 months old xx

Signs of teething...going off food...dribbling...red cheeks...wanting to chew on something...temp....hard/white gums xxx

my daughter had been teething since around 8weeks old, average age for baby to start teething is around 8weeks but teeth don't come through till around 6months or so. xx

@gilbs_xo, @rach0402 @winterbaby95 thanks girls, I'm just after giving him his bottle and he only drank half then threw it all back up (which he very rarely does) he's a bit fidgety still but the crying has stopped for now. Will ask the HV on Friday what she thinks xx
