Zephyr's name is Greek, it means a gentle breeze. But that's not exactly why I chose his name.

If I could live in any era it would be the 1970s. Skateboarding and punk music was on the rise. It was grimy and raw, absolutely beautiful in my eyes. The Zephyr skateboarding/surfing team is who revolutionized skateboarding and it's scene.

Jay Adams (one of the original Z boys) is my hero, I always swore I'd steal him from his wife and keep him as my own (lmfao). I'll never forget the day he died, I had panic attack from hell.

When I found out I was pregnant, I had two names that were definite in my head. Fern and Zephyr. I ended up having a boy, and the feeling was so strong about naming him Zephyr I felt like I had no other choice. Some people name their babies unique names to have them stand out, but I literally just felt it in my soul to give him such a name that I hold so close to my heart.

He ended up having beautiful blonde hair and big brown eyes, built to be athletic. He's destined to be a Z boy.
