I know it's not a big deal and it's a quick procedure. it's just weird. I don't really like one of the nurses there. that's the only reason why I think I'm hesitant about it. @alfysmommy @bonniesue

My doctor did it. Soon you'll be pushing a baby out with nurses and a doctor at your crotch lol. I get through all the weirdness by keeping in mind this is a medical thing that has to be done and they've seen it all. I know you can also request a different nurse if it's an issue.

@bonniesue yeah I'm fine with my doctor doing it. and I know I'll have an entirely different team of nurses in labor and delivery. I just don't like this one nurse because she seems really moody all the time. and she had the nerve to comment on my weight when I haven't even gained 20 pounds in my pregnancy. and my doctor has told me that they're actually really proud about my weight gain during my pregnancy. it just annoyed me because his girl is about a total of 90 pounds and it just seems that she just doesn't like heavier-set women.

I just don't want some 90 pound girl doing a procedure on me when she's probably thinking her head what a fat ass I am. I'm pretty self-conscious in general so I don't need her negativity around me.

I don't believe it's something they allow the nurses to do. I wouldn't want a rude person to do it to me either! You have every right to be happy and comfortable with who is giving you care. Speak up to the doctor if you can.

@reyesmomma, when I had it done with my daughter my doctor did it but had a nurse assistanting her so I think a doctor would do it more, haven't had it done with this baby hi because I was positive for it with my daughter I'm most likely positive again in this pregnancy cause my doctor said once your positive for one baby chances are high for your next pregnancy so I'm just waiting to b tested

Well thank you everyone. I'm feeling a little less weird about it now knowing that it's most likely going to be my doctor.
